OUTREACH AND CONSULTATION |
The Counseling Center also reaches out to the campus community through its educational programming for students, staff, faculty, and other professionals. Presentations are available to any campus class, club, or other group at the request of a student, faculty, or staff member. The purpose of each workshop is to provide participants with information, self exploration, tips, and resources. Workshops are available on issues related to student's. Some examples include: Stress Management, Time Management, Suicide Prevention, Alcohol Awareness, Conflict Resolution, Test Anxiety, Relationships, Assertiveness, Awareness of Our Services, Strengthening Our Listening Skills, and other mental health & student life related topics.
Are you a student, staff, or facility member and can see where these workshops/ presentations could benefit?
Make a request for a presentation.
We host programs both in and out of the center. For more questions please send an email to Eleni Alexiou, LCSW. Include date, time, number of people, location, and topic interest, and contact information. Be sure to give as much advance notice as possible. We will attempt to meet the needs of each request. We are eager to provide professional therapeutic services to Florida Atlantic University students, and welcome requests for programs from classes, organizations, teams, campus offices, and residence halls.
Requests should be made at least 2 weeks in advance of program date. As the center becomes busier throughout the semester we may need more advanced notice.
