Broward Campus Recreation Staff
David Blank is the Associate Director of Campus Life (Campus Recreation and Student Union) on the Davie Campus. Previously David was the Assistant Director and Coordinator of Event Planning for the Student Union on the Boca Raton Campus. He involves himself in many campus committees and initiatives including the Division of Student Affairs Staff Development, Homecoming, and Camp Owls. David originally began his career at FAU in Admissions in 2001. After leaving FAU to become a Recruiter for 6 years to assist people in finding jobs, he returned to his passion, higher education. David started working in the Student Involvement & Leadership Office in December 2009. David is a proud alumnus of Florida Atlantic University graduating with his Master’s in Higher Education Leadership in 2012 and has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Towson University. David’s higher education experience also includes new student orientations, fraternity & sorority life and student housing.
Diego Torres-Malaga is the Coordinator of Campus Life (Campus Recreation). Diego is a proud alumnus of Florida Atlantic University graduating with his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and Health Promotion in 2012. In 2013 he graduated with his Master’s in Physical Education from the University of South Florida.
Campus Recreation hires on a continual basis as needed, however the majority of our hiring will take place before finals begin in anticipation of the upcoming semester. The Campus Recreation website is updated regularly with details of these session.
