Karen Esteves
is
currently the Assistant Director of Student Affairs
for the Fort Lauderdale and Dania Beach campuses. Her
responsibilities include Owl card student
identification service, management of the Second
Avenue Studio student gallery, coordination of
orientation and advisement of clubs and organizations
on the Fort Lauderdale campus. Karen Esteves
earned her bachelors degree and masters of fine arts
degree from Florida Atlantic University.
Before coming to Student Affairs in 2000, Karen
spent a combined 5 years as an academic advisor in
the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts & Letters
and graduate recruiter and advisor for the former
College of Liberal Arts. She is a member of National
Association of Student Personnel Administrators
(NASPA). She completed the NASPA Mid-Managers
Institute in 2007 and, most recently, the FAU Student
Affairs Institute in Spring 2009.
Karen is a proud FAU alumna and an active
member of the FAU National Alumni Association since
2003.
