STUDENT AFFAIRS AWARDS
The
Division of Student Affairs has established annual awards to
recognize outstanding service within the division. Division
members are invited to nominate those individuals who they
believe deserve special recognition as described below.

This
award, created in 2005, is in memory of Dr. Daniel Weppner
who developed and directed the Weppner Volunteer Center. Dr.
Weppner had a passion for helping others and serving FAU and
the community, especially children in need. In remembrance of
his passionate interest in serving others, this award will be
presented to an individual who also demonstrates a passion to
serve FAU and the community by volunteering his or her time
to those less fortunate. The recipient should possess
qualities of service to others as exemplified by Dr.
Weppner.
Presented
to an individual who through dedicated service in the
Division of Student Affairs has taken the time to nurture,
support, and encourage students and colleagues; and who with
a selfless spirit respects the rights of individuals to grow
and achieve at the greatest levels of their potential; and
who through a demonstrated commitment to personal values and
ideals has helped to build and nurture a campus community
where all individuals are respected and valued.
Presented
to a dependable and hardworking individual whose commitment
to FAU is consistently demonstrated by performing day-to-day
responsibilities with enthusiasm, proficiency, accessibility
and sensitivity to others; and who contributes to the Student
Affairs team with a steadfast commitment to professionalism,
creativity in helping others solve problems and dedication to
quality work.
Presented
to individual who provides unnoticed albeit invaluable
services for students with little fanfare or
recognition.
In
order to recognize the unique contributions by Student
Affairs individuals the Crest Award has been created. The
Crest Award is designed to give Student Affairs staff the
freedom to recognize the special contributions of other
Student Affairs staff member(s).
Criteria The criterion for this award is any one of the following:
STUDENT AWARD Presented
to a hardworking student employee who is dependable and whose
commitment to Student Affairs is consistently demonstrated by
performing day-to-day responsibilities with enthusiasm,
proficiency, accessibility and sensibility to others.
