Strategic Plan

Florida Atlantic University's 2006-2013 Strategic Plan, is a comprehensive roadmap to guide FAU in achieving elevated performance and ranking in its key service areas. The current plan provides the FAU community with goals and strategies designed to align the day-to-day activities of all faculty and staff with the overall vision for the university. Under the direction of the Board of Trustees, the plan includes a Vision and Mission, Values, Goals and Objectives .

The strategic plan is organized around the seven goals:

Goal 1: Providing Increased Access to Higher Education

Goal 2: Meeting Statewide Professional and Workforce Needs

Goal 3: Building World-Class Academic Programs and Research Capacity

Goal 4: Meeting Community Needs and Fulfilling Unique Institutional Responsibilities

Goal 5: Building a State-of-the-Art Information Technology Environment

Goal 6: Enhancing the Physical Environment

Goal 7: Increasing the University's Visibility
