I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of our faculty and staff, to welcome you to the website for FAU's School of Social Work.
In 2012, the tenth MSW class will graduate. We have grown from 18 students in the fall of 2000 to 240 in the fall of 2011. Our BSW program continues to average 390 students. Since we do not advertise our program, the growth is due to “word of mouth” and the experience the community has with our graduates. Agencies tell us they prefer to hire a FAU graduate with a degree in social work. This may also be why our alums report nearly 100% post-graduation employment. Further, in a recent alumni survey (November, 2011), 98% of our alums state they would recommend FAU School of Social Work to a friend.
