Active Aging Lecture
On February 13th, the School of Social Work presented a guest lecture by Dr. Nancy Hooyman in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Nursing about Aging Implications for the Workforce. She discussed how well we are preparing the workforce, specifically social workers, with the knowledge, skills and values to promote aging in a healthy manner across the life course. Dr. Hooyman holds the Hooyman Professorship of Gerontology and is dean emeritus at the University of Washington School of Social Work.
