"This course introduces students to the largest and fastest growing minority ethnic group in the United States. Major areas of focus include the development and meaning of Latino/a identity; the forces behind and patterns associated with Latino immigration and settlement; assimilation; and the ways in which Latinos have been incorporated into the U.S. economy, state, and civil society."
