HIV/AIDS Counselor
An HIV/AIDS Counselor is available to
all members of the University community (students, faculty
and staff) to counsel with regard to all aspects of HIV/AIDS.
The HIV/AIDS Counselor can be reached by calling (561)

ON-CAMPUS HIV TESTING FOR
STUDENTS:
Today & Beyond Wellness offers
confidential HIV testing to the FAU community. Today &
Beyond Wellness is located in the Student Services Building
(SS8), Room 222 (above the Breezeway Food Court). To schedule
an appointment or for more information, call (561) 297-1120.
There are several testing options:
- Orasure® – This HIV test requires the
collection of an oral fluid specimen. Results are provided
in three weeks and the test is FREE. This testing is
offered by appointment only and is offered only to
students.
- OraQuick® Rapid HIV test – This HIV test is
performed using an oral swab; no blood. Results are
available in 30 minutes. This test is offered by
appointment only and is available only to students.
- Blood test – This HIV test requires the
collection of a blood specimen. Students may choose to
receive results in three weeks at NO CHARGE or receive
results in one week at the cost of $22.00. This testing is
offered by appointment only and is offered only to
students.
- OraQuick Advance® - This rapid HIV test requires
the collection of an oral fluid specimen and results are
provided in approximately 30 minutes. The test is free and
is offered two or three Thursdays each month
(excluding holidays). Testing is conducted by Care Resource
and offered in Today & Beyond Wellness. Testing is done
on a first come, first served basis and is offered to
students, faculty and staff. Cal (561) 297-1120 to

OFF CAMPUS HIV TESTING:
Students, faculty and staff interested
in HIV testing off-campus may choose from several testing
sites*:

Comprehensive AIDS Program (CAP):
Offers free HIV testing. The HIV test requires the
collection of an oral fluid specimen and results are given
in 30 minutes. Testing is offered by appointment only. CAP
testing sites are located throughout Palm Beach County:

Planned Parenthood: Planned Parenthood
offers an HIV test that requires the collection of a blood
specimen. Results are provided in 10 minutes and the cost
of the test is $50. Students may receive a reduced price by
showing their student ID. No appointment is necessary. For

Compass: Offers free HIV testing in
Palm Beach County. The HIV test requires the collection of
an oral fluid specimen and results are given in 30 minutes.
