Mrs. Wallace has over 40 years experience as a registered nurse, serving the last 16 years as the Director of FAU Student Health Services. Prior to her college health experience, Cathie taught undergraduate students in the FAU Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing for eight years, served as an instructor in the Broward Community College associate nursing degree program and the Lynn University nursing program, and provided nursing care in various hospital settings for over 10 years. She is active in several professional organizations, currently serving as the By-laws Chair for the Florida College Health Nurses Association and as a member of the Advocacy Committee for the American College Health Association.
Derek joined FAU in January, 2012 after serving in senior financial management roles in the nonprofit sector for over 10 years. Derek received a BBA in accounting from FAU and an MBA in finance from Nova Southeastern University.
Gordon Adams is a Florida native and has been working in the IT field for over 15 years. He has been with Student Health Services since 1996 and is a Florida Atlantic University Alumni with a Master’s degree in Information Technology and Management ('12) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems ('99).
Shellie Almond has been employed at Florida Atlantic University since 1989. While at FAU she has worked with Student Government, the Controller’s Office, and has been with Student Health Services for the past 18 years. Prior to moving to Florida and coming to FAU, Shellie grew up in Toledo, Ohio and attended the University of Toledo.
Udine Brown graduated from Everest University in 2005 with a Paralegal degree. She started working at FAU as a temp at the Karen Slattery Center and then moved to the Registrar's office. Employed by FAU in October 2005, Udine worked at the Controller's Office as a Senior Clerk until April 2008 when she transferred to Student Health as an Office Assistant.
