Student Government Accounting and Budget Office
The Student Government Accounting and Budget Office (SGAB) consists of a team of professional administrators with degrees in accounting and business administration who work on behalf of Student Government. They support Student Government by coordinating the University-wide and campus budgets request process, perform required financial transaction processing, and offer fiscal management training for Student Government leaders.

2009 Audit Report
“Student Government Audit Report: In the Spring 2009, the FAU Office of Inspector General conducted an audit on the SG Activity and Service Fee accounts.
In accordance with the University’s Internal Audit Plan for fiscal year 2008-09, they have conducted this audit of select fiscal operations of the Student Government (SG) at Florida Atlantic University for the Fall 2008 semester. The auditors identified several opportunities for improvement in the following areas:
- Annual Budget Preparation Process;
- Expenditure transaction document and accountability; and
- Money collection procedures.
