What is Student Government?
SG is your government. It is also a department within the Division of Student Affairs. The Activity & Service fees collected from you on your tuition bill per credit hour is your money, and you need to decide how to spend it. This includes legislation, event planning and sponsorship, program oversight, and allocation to other services like campus recreation and student unions.
To keep things fair in the distributed campus model at FAU, each partner campus has an SG branch tied together by the University-wide Executive Branch, Student Court, and Elections Board.
SG also includes the Student Government Accounting and Budget Office and works closely with the Office of Student Development and Activities to support student-centered activities and services.
