*All FAU Gordon Rule Writing with a grade of 'C' or better
*Preference will be given to students who have completed the above requirements in addition to: FAU general education requirements MMC 1540 (Intro to Media Studies), MMC 3403 (Mass Communication Theory) & JOU 4004 (U.S. Journalism)

Pre-requisites and requirements that should be successfully completed (or be currently registered for) before requesting approval for SPC 4271 (Communication, Democracy and Civic Engagement):
*Student should be in their final semester of academic coursework for BA degree in Communication Studies
*SPC 1340 (Discovering Human Communication and Rhetoric) or COM 2053 (Intro to Communication and Civic Life)
*Preference will be given to students who have completed: All other major coursework, FAU general education requirements & Foreign language graduation requirement

* At least one of the following Production Fundamental courses: DIG 3110C (Fundamentals of Multimedia), DIG 3305 (Fundamentals of 3D Computer Animation) & RTV 3260 (Video Production)
* Preference will be given to students who have completed: All other major coursework (Core, Production Fundamentals, History, Criticism, Production & Contexts), FAU general education requirements, & Foreign language graduation requirement
