Dr. Sameer Hinduja Presenting a ground-breaking research at the first-ever White House Conference on Cyber Bullying Prevention
In March 2011, President Obama convened the first-ever White House Conference on Bullying Prevention. This conference appropriately recognized the critical role that research plays in informing policy and practice by briefly giving the “national stage” to distinguished researchers and experts. Dr. Hinduja and his colleague Dr. Justin Patchin from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire were both invited, and their ground-breaking research on cyberbullying was prominently featured and lauded. They were asked to write a white paper on the topic for the White House. Dr. Hinduja continues to work extensively with Federal and State Departments of Education on this and other issues of teen technology misuse.
