(choose below) *** If you have Microsoft Excel 2003 (click here) *** If you have Microsoft Excel 2000 or 2002 (click here) NOTE: Courses in which grades of "AU", "CR", "W", "WM", "S", "U", "I", or "P" have been received will not be used in computing a student's GPA. Additionally, credits earned by way of CLEP, AP, and IB hours will not count towards one's GPA.
GPA CALCULATOR INSTRUCTIONS------------------------------------------------------------ To Determine Your GPA For Just This Semester ----- (ie. If you are NOT concerned with calculating in grades from previous semesters): 1. Do NOT fill in the "Prior Course Totals" boxes in the GPA calculator above. 2. Then enter the grades you expect for this semester and the number of credits for each class. 3 . Then click "Calculate GPA." Your GPA for this semester alone will appear. ------------------------------------------------------------- To Determine Your NEW GPA By Combining This Semester With Previous Semesters ----- (ie. If you ARE concerned with calculating in grades from previous semesters), this calculator will combine your GPA at the end of last semester with the grades you expect to earn this semester: Follow these steps to calculate your New GPA: 1. First, obtain your unofficial transcript at www.facts.org. If you already have it, please skip to step 6. 2. If you need an unofficial transcript, please go to www.facts.org. Once at that site, go to the left margin, put the cursor on "College Transcripts and Grades" and a sidebar will appear. Click on it. 3. Use the pull down menu to choose Florida Atlantic University as your home institution. 4. Type your Student ID number. 5. Type your Oasis PIN number and click continue. 6. Your unofficial transcript will appear. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where it reads "Cumulative Academic Summaries." You will need the QHRS and QPTS columns to calculate your GPA. 7. Depending on which GPA you are trying to calculate, either your "Transfer", "FAU Total," or "Cumulative" work, you will need to enter the corresponding QHRS and QPTS number in the "Prior Course Totals" cells. (enter only one in each cell) 8. Then enter the grades you expect for this semester and the number of credits for each class. 9. Then click "Calculate GPA."
