FAU Northern Campuses Safety Month Events
Tuesday, September 6
The Safety Fair will be an interactive event promoting safety awareness to students and staff and will provide an introduction to the month’s events. Included will be interactive safety games to include an Awareness Walk-through, Beer Goggle Obstacle Course and a Text & Walk Obstacle Course. Come learn how to avoid the pitfalls of an unhealthy relationship and how to maintain healthy limits and boundaries with others. Topics for discussion will include how to identify the characteristics of an addictive relationship, how to manage break-ups, and learn what to do if you are stalked. It Can Wait: The Dangers of Texting and Driving
Student can visit informational tables and displays on the dangers of cell phone use while driving, especially texting while driving. There is also an opportunity to sign the No Phone Zone pledge, play a computer texting and driving game (Sept 21st 2 – 5 p.m.), and pick up a free phone condom.
