General Overview
Programs generally include learning initiatives which involve a variety of problem-solving challenges that are sequenced in a progressive format. These minimally physical, and somewhat unconventional activities are a "seriously fun" way to integrate your team through shared learning experiences.
The low element activities are performed on or close to the ground, gradually increasing in difficulty and challenge so that the team can learn from its successes, and build trust and confidence as obstacles are overcome. Low initiatives create opportunities for teams to enhance communication, set goals, make decisions and develop leadership.

An increasingly popular tool for unleashing personal potential is the high ropes course. The high ropes initiatives provide participants with opportunities to challenge themselves individually as their teammates on the ground support them with ropes and words of encouragement. Participants make their own choices and set their own level of challenge as they explore issues of risk taking and mutual support.

L.I.F.T. programs operate on the principle of Challenge by Choice
Participation without coercion or intimidation at any time.
Half day programs provide an opportunity for the team(s) to get to know each other and interact in a fun way as they work together on the initiatives. A full day allows time for more initiatives and more in-depth processing of them.
Multiple days of programming provide a broader range of problem-solving activities and more in depth opportunities to focus on and analyze issues that are important to the team. It also allows for an integration of traditional training into the experience, and research into team building has shown that the blending of an adventure program with traditional training models is more effective than either method alone.
