The mission of Sponsored Programs is to facilitate and support FAU faculty research. Sponsored Programs is responsible for pre-award and post-award administration including the review and approval of proposals prior to submission to sponsors, and awards prior to acceptance by FAU.

Grant Facilitator Services Available

Sponsored Programs is pleased to announce a special service that is now being offered through the Division of Research for FAU investigators—grant facilitation. Grant facilitators are available to assist investigators as follows:

Editorial Grant Proposal Assistance:

Grant facilitators can read proposals (including rough drafts) to help investigators fine-tune their arguments by providing feedback on issues such as logic, evidence and overall written clarity.  Facilitators can also comment on basic writing elements such as grammar and syntax.

Individualized Grant Preparation Assistance:

Grant facilitators can also offer individualized assistance to investigators seeking to navigate the often complex process of applying for a grant.  Facilitators can provide information on sponsor evaluation practices as well as ways to strategically target particular sponsor priorities.  In addition, facilitators can help direct investigators to resources within and outside of FAU for finding answers to common grant preparation questions.

Please note that investigators who wish to receive writing assistance must submit proposal drafts at least two weeks before the FAU internal routing deadline in order to allow sufficient time for grant facilitator review.
