About Us

 

The Office of Sponsored Programs primary services include:

Proposal Review and Submission

  • Serve as liaison and service provider to internal and external stakeholders, including principal investigators, administrators, program officers, grants officials and colleagues
  • Provide guidance and consultation on proposal development
  • Review RFP/Solicitation to ensure compliance with sponsor requirements
  • Conduct proposal review, processing and submission to sponsor

Contract and Subaward Negotiations

  • Review and negotiate award contracts, terms and conditions
  • Serve as liaison between faculty and legal counsel on research related contracts/agreements
  • Develop, review and approve outgoing subawards issued on sponsored projects
  • Develop, review and approve confidential disclosure agreements, memorandum of understanding, material transfer agreements and other related research agreements

Award Management

  • Provide guidance to ensure proper stewardship of research funding
  • Facilitate administrative post-award actions such as, no cost extensions, budget changes, modifications to the scope of work, changes to key personnel, decreases in the principal investigator’s effort and prior approval requirements
  • Perform oversight of research compliance in areas such as animal use, human subjects, EH&S, and conflict of interest

  • Conduct information sessions and workshops for faculty and staff on research
