Veterinary Services (VS) is administered by the Division of Research and serves as a support service for animal research and teaching programs at Florida Atlantic University. OVS provides facilities and services to researchers who have been approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). VS offers housing and maintenance for most standard laboratory animals. Researchers are encouraged to contact VS and the Attending Veterinarian to discuss protocol submissions prior to development and submission to the IACUC. VS offers a variety of services including procurement of animals, animal husbandry care and supplies, provision of veterinary care, training, surgical facilities, per diem billing and other technical support services.
