The mission of the Office of Veterinary Services is to oversee all animal care and use at Florida Atlantic University; provide veterinary care; ensure that all animal uses are in full compliance with federal, state and local regulations; provide the necessary elements in direct support to the University's research and teaching programs that use animals; and ensure proper care and use, emphasizing the avoidance or minimization of discomfort, distress and pain.
