Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA)
This web site gives you access to a database of all Federal programs available to State and local governments (including the District of Columbia); federally-recognized Indian tribal governments; Territories (and possessions) of the United States; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals.

Commerce Business Daily
CBD is the official government publication for all notices of contract actions From this site, you can go directly to the Daily Listing for all items listed under Service Code A "Research and Development" in CBD. (For additional codes, go to http://cbdnet.access.gpo.gov/class.html.)

Dietary Supplements Database From USDA And NIH
The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture's National Agricultural Library and the National Institutes of Health host a new site to help researchers and the general public find information on dietary supplements. The International Bibliographic Information on Dietary Supplements (IBIDS) contains more than 250,000 records from published, international scientific literature on dietary supplements from 1986 to the present. Visitors to the site can simultaneously search multiple existing medical, pharmaceutical, botanical and agricultural databases. The site offers a drop-down list of keywords to use as search tools to aid those unfamiliar with the terminology.

Florida Administrative Weekly
The Florida Administrative Weekly is published on the Internet free of charge by the Florida Department of State as to increase public access to Florida government.

GeoRef and GeoRef Preview Database
This database, established by the American Geological Institute in 1966, provides access to the geoscience literature of the world, and is growing by more than 60,000 references a year. The database contains over 2.1 million references to articles from 3,500 journals in 40 languages, as well as books, maps, conference papers, reports and theses. GeoRef covers the geology of North America from 1785 to the present and the geology of the rest of the world from 1933 to the present. NIH Granting Tutorials
These All About Grants basic tutorials help biomedical investigators, especially new ones, plan, write, and apply for the basic NIH research project grant, the R01.

MEDLINE
The National Library of Medicine's PubMed search service allows access to nine million citations in MEDLINE and PRE-MEDLINE (with links to participating on-line journals) and other related databases.

MedWatch - MedWatch, is the FDA Medical Products Reporting Program. This initiative is supported by over 140 organizations representing health professionals and industry. The FDA is responsible for assuring the safety and efficacy of all regulated marketed medical products including: drugs; biologics; medical and radiation-emitting devices; and special nutritional products (e.g. medical foods, dietary supplements, and infant formulas).

Ingenta (formerly CARL UnCover) - This is a database of current article information taken from more than 25,000 multidisciplinary journals. UnCover contains brief descriptive information for nearly 9 million articles which have appeared since Fall 1988. CARL is a computerized network of library services developed by the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries. CARL UnCover is the Alliance's index to journals and magazines. Since acquiring UnCover in 2000, Ingenta has been working to integrate the two databases in order to provide a more comprehensive and easy-to-use service. The integrated service offers free searching and browsing of more than 25,000 publications with 11,000 titles that were not available in UnCover, some new services and other useful ones in UnCover. Searching Ingenta is free. Article delivery is also available, for a fee. You can arrange to have articles faxed, delivered, or sent electronically (html or pdf format) directly to you. If you choose this service, you will have to provide a personal credit card number and the articles will be charged to that account.

Microsoft Office Converters and Viewers

With the help of these converters and viewers from the Office Download Center, you can share your Microsoft Office files with people who have versions of Office programs different from your own, or even with people who don't have Office at all.

Converters enable you to open files created by people using different versions of your Office programs. Find the appropriate converter for the version of the Office program on your computer.

Viewers enable people who don't have Office programs to see your work. Simply provide them with the appropriate viewer along with your files.

To find the viewers and converters you need, simply select the program for the file you want to share - Microsoft Office 2000, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access
