FAU offers accelerated, college-level courses for eligible PUBLIC, NON-PUBLIC and HOME EDUCATION Florida high school students.  Students enrolled in post-secondary institutions that are not creditable toward the high school diploma will not be classified as dual enrollments.  The dual enrollment program provides an opportunity for students to earn high school graduation credit and college credit simultaneously.      

To be eligible for participation in the program, a high school student must have:

  1. Completed their freshman year of High School,

  2. Achieved a high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher (based upon an unweighted  4.0 scale),

  3. Taken one of the following tests and scored at least

    • SAT: Verbal 440; Math 440 (NOT PSAT)

    • ACT: Reading 18: English 17; Math 19

    • CPT (Accuplacer): 83 Reading Comprehension; 83 Sentence Skills and 72 Elementary Algebra

      • FAU's Testing & Evaluation Office offers Accuplacer (CPT)

      • For information contact them at 561-297-3160 or their website at

      • http://www.fau.edu/testing/ACCUPLACER.php This test should be taken as soon as possible. Results need to be submitted prior to or with registration forms by due date indicated on school links below.  Results from a community college are also acceptable (you may take the test at PBCC, BCC, or FAU).

  4. Satisfied any course prerequisites

  5. Received approval of the high school principal or designee

Participating students are exempt from tuition and laboratory fees ONLY.  Students must earn at least a "C" in all college work attempted to remain in the program.  Dual enrollment students are responsible for their own transportation and any parking, traffic, and library fines incurred.

Complete the following 3 forms, then proceed to your individual school section for more information

INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING THE FORMS

  • High School Non-Degree Application Form
    MUST BE TYPED ONLINE OR WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED--
    Needs to be completed by the high school student.

    • NO documentation is needed.

    • Print form

    • Sign form

  • High School Non-Degree Residency Classification Form 
    MUST BE TYPED ONLINE OR WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED--
    See information below for completion of the form.

    • Needs to be completed by the high school student through Part I. 

    • Florida Resident Classification sections needs to be completed by the parent/guardian.  Residency is based on the parent/guardian of the high school student and the information provided is based on parent/guardian.

    • Documentation is needed.  Complete at least two (2) numbers and dates on the form with copies.

    • Citizenship section -- MUST BE CHECKED -- If the parent/guardian or student is a resident alien, copies of the front and back of the Resident Alien card are required.  Also indicate the country of citizenship on the copies.

    • If the parent/guardian is a Legal Alien, copies of visa, et. al. from the INS are required.

    • Print form

    • Parent/Guardian must sign the Affidavit section and date.

    Immunization Form (See the information below for completion of the form).

  • The FAU Immunization form cannot be typed online--print out pages 1 and 2 and complete.

    • High school student completes Section A & C. 

    • Parent/Guardian of the high school student -- need signature in Section C.

    • Section B, Part I

      • If the student has copies of records that are acceptable (with the appropriate immunizations and physician's signature and office stamp); attach these copies to the immunization form, the physician signature is not needed.  Also acceptable is high school printout of inoculations with high school stamp.

      • If the student does not have copies of records, then Section B must be completed by a physician and also signed and stamped.

Dual enrollment students are responsible for a transportation access fee, each semester (includes parking decal) and a photo ID Owl Card fee (first semester only).  Fees are due by the end of the first week of classes.  The transportation access fee is a recurring charge and is charged to the student's FAU account every semester of enrollment. 
To continue in the dual enrollment program, students must earn a grade of "C" (2.0) in each course.
  courses are equal to one (1) high school credit. (Adobe Reader needed)
  Don't know what to take???  Entering FAU freshmen begin their academics with the Core Curriculum courses located on this SITE.  (This link may be helpful in deciding your courses)

Students may obtain their FAU NetID (email) after paperwork has been processed at the following link below:

Students interested in Math courses are required to take a placement test. After you have obtained your FAU NetID (email), please contact the math department at 561-297-3340.

To view Course Listings (days/times), click on "Online Self-Service" then "Course Listings." Please check the availability of course(s) before arriving for in-person registration. Alternate course(s) should also be selected. Also use this link to To access your grade report and for fees due.

Previous High School Dual Enrollment students eligible to continue in the program may register online at http://myfau.fau.edu Click on the high school link below that pertains to your school then go to "Previous" student section for registration information and forms needed. 


REMINDERS:  All high school approved courses must be indicated on completed form.   You can only register for primary and alternate courses approved by your high school. Please be advised your primary choice of classes may be closed by the time you register.  If FAU courses have prerequisites and you have satisfied those prerequisites at another institution or by test, please provide documentation.
