Janet Cramer, Associate Provost for Assessment and Instruction

As Associate Provost for Assessment and Instruction, Dr. Janet Cramer is responsible for all activities related to the assessment of student learning outcomes within Academic Affairs and for coordinating the delivery of classroom instruction among Enrollment Management, the Provost’s office, and the academic units. She holds the rank of Professor in the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies.
Prior to coming to FAU, Dr. Cramer served as Associate Dean for Curriculum and Instruction, overseeing instruction in 103 degree programs and 27 departments and programs in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of New Mexico. At UNM, she also served as the Director of Women Studies, Graduate Director in the Department of Communication and Journalism, Director of the Preparing Future Faculty program, and was an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication and Journalism. She has over 15 years of professional experience in journalism and communications.
Originally from Southern California, Dr. Cramer earned her bachelor’s degree from California State University in Fullerton. She has a master’s degree and Ph.D. in communication from the University of Minnesota.
