As you undoubtedly know, the legislature passed a budget that cuts the State University System’s funding for 2012-13 by $300 million. FAU’s portion of that shortfall is $24.7 million – a heavy blow that comes on top of the series of lesser cuts that the University has absorbed over the last several years. As a member of the President’s senior leadership team, I have had a number of conversations with my fellow administrators and President Saunders about the effects of this reduction. I invite you to share your ideas for reducing expenses across all of our campuses.
