mental health summit

On Monday, Oct. 19, and Monday, Oct. 26, the Provost’s Office will host the virtual FAU Mental Health Summit, a professional development experience for FAU faculty and staff. The Summit will provide information and techniques on how to best fortify our own mental health, and how we can provide support for students and colleagues through practical everyday methods.

Separate virtual activities will be offered during each day of the summit, and FAU faculty and staff are encouraged to attend as many as possible. The summit provides opportunities to learn in real time with other participants through presentations, discussions, group activities, workshops and more. Undergraduate students interested in mental health training and resources can visit www.fau.edu/thrive for the community and FAU mental health events calendar, along with student blogs, podcasts, and other information and inspiration.

I know this is a challenging time for all of us, and I hope that the Mental Health Summit will be a part of the self-care process for our faculty and staff. For more information about the Mental Health Summit and to register, click here.
