It’s commencement time again!

This is a week of celebration at FAU as we prepare to confer degrees on members of the Fall 2015 graduating class. In five ceremonies at the Kaye Auditorium on Thursday and Friday, 2,533 students will receive bachelor’s, master’s, specialist’s and doctoral degrees. An honorary doctorate will be awarded to Leon Charney, who played a critical behind-the-scenes role in achieving the 1978 Peace Accords between Israel and Egypt.

Our graduates range in age from 89-year-old Betty Reilly to 17-year-old Denise Kutnick. Betty will be awarded a bachelor’s degree in English. She plans to go on to graduate study. What a fantastic role model she is for her 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren! Denise will graduate magna cum laude with a degree in computer science. She already has a job with Intel, making her one of the world’s youngest computer engineering professionals. We’re very proud of FAU’s long record of service to students of all ages.

Congratulations, Class of 2015, and Go Owls!
