A Winning Week for the Owls

A Winning Week for the Owls

In what must have been the most exciting football game in school history, the Owls pulled off a last-minute victory Saturday evening against the University of Texas-San Antonio. Coming from behind with 2:15 on the clock, Jaquez Johnson threw a 15-yard pass to Nate Terry who caught it for the touchdown, changing the score to 41-37 in our favor. What a great start for this year’s C-USA play! Coach Partridge and the team intend to keep the trend rolling Thursday night, when the Owls go up against the Golden Panthers in FIU Stadium. I hope you can make it to the game.

Also, on Friday, our women’s soccer team racked up its first C-USA win of 2014, upsetting conference favorite Charlotte 1-0. Freshman Asta Arnadottir, playing in her first C-USA game, scored the winning goal in the team’s fifth shutout of the season.

Go Owls!!!
