FAU’s participation in the 2015 Palm Beach County Heart Walk will get off to a spirited start at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at our kick-off event in the Majestic Palm Room of the Student Union on the Boca campus. Faculty, staff and students are invited to take part in this free event, which will include a presentation by the American Heart Association, talks by two of FAU’s most prominent researchers and a heart surgery survivor, refreshments and door prizes. I’ll be there to welcome everyone and talk about the importance of FAU’s involvement in the Heart Walk, which promotes a heart-healthy lifestyle for everyone. RSVPs are not necessary – just come!
