Baseball Beats No. 1 Ranked Miami

Congratulations to the Owls baseball team on their big win against the Miami Hurricanes! The No. 17 Owls beat the top-ranked team 4-3 on Wednesday night in Miami. It was the third time the Owls have defeated a ranked team this season, and only the sixth loss for the Hurricanes.

The Owls pitchers allowed just five hits, thanks to a strong start by sophomore David McKay. Junior Cameron Ragsdale earned his 11th save of the season – the second most nationwide. FAU's batters did their part, too. Junior Sean Labsan, senior Billy Endris, junior Stephen Kerr and junior CJ Chatham provided crucial hits, including a home run from Kerr.

I am extremely proud of our baseball team and their tradition of excellence. I look forward to the remainder of this exciting season, and hope you have an opportunity to join me at the ballpark to cheer on these outstanding Owls. Go Owls!
