Your current vehicle registration and photo ID.
Who needs a FAU parking decal?
Everyone. All students, faculty, staff, vendors and anyone else parking on campus are required to have a parking decal.
What are the hours of enforcement?
Traffic and Parking regulations are enforced 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Where do I place the decal on my car?
Student decals are placed on the inside of the driver’s front window. The entire decal must be displayed unaltered. The decal must be visible at all times while the vehicle is parked on campus. Faculty/Staff and Visitor hangtags are hung from the rearview mirror with the date facing out.
How long do I have to pay a ticket before a late fee is assessed?
Payment for all tickets must be received in the Office of Traffic and Parking by the 14th calendar day of issuance of the ticket.
How do I appeal a ticket?
Any person who feels that a parking ticket was issued in error may contest the parking ticket by filing a notice of appeal on this website or at the Office of Traffic and Parking.
Who can park at a parking meter?
ANYONE! If you park at a meter you must pay the appropriate fee. The new, multispace meters are enforced 24 hours a day with the exception of the meter directly in front of the Administration Building on the Boca Raton Campus which is enforced from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. Coin meters are enforced between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm. Vehicles may park at a coin meter after enforcement hours without paying provided they DISPLAY A CURRENT FAU parking permit.
My vehicle was totaled in an accident, how do I get a replacement decal?
Remove the decal from the previous car and bring it into the office. A replacement decal will be issued at no charge however you must bring the removed decal into the office with the numbers intact. Appropriate paper work is required. If the vehicle is totaled and the decal was not able to be removed, you will need appropriate documentation that the vehicle was totaled.

The Office of Traffic and Parking is located in Building 69 (Campus Operations) on the Boca Raton Campus. Our hours of operation are listed on the website.
Where do visitors park and how much is it?
Visitors may park at any of the parking meters on campus or they may get a Visitors Permit from either the Information Booth or the Office of Traffic and Parking for longer visits.
What should I do if I have a Visitor, Guest Speaker or Interview Candidate, come on Campus?
Visitors can acquire temporary parking permits at the Information Booth on Glades Rd and NW 10th Street or they can be requested ahead of time from the Office of Traffic and Parking by faculty/staff members. Students can get parking permits for their visitors by stopping by the Office of Traffic and Parking (or the Police Department after business hours). The vehicle registration will be needed at the time the permit is issued.
I got a ticket for parking the wrong way on Volusia Street. Where is that written?
Parking against the flow of traffic is hazardous and against Florida State Statute 316.195. There are also signs posted as reminders at both sides of Volusia Street.
