Following the OPA Semi-Annual Fall General Meeting
The Parents’ Academy was created with parents of current students in mind. We know that after the first few months of a student’s time at FAU, they (you) may come across new challenges. The Parents’ Academy is a peer-to-peer program featuring presentations & discussions with university administrators and current Owl Parent Association members. In this workshop, parents of all students can address challenges they have had and how they were able to solve them.
This will be your “cup of comfort” for the current and upcoming semesters and is a great way to connect with your fellow Owl Parents!
The Parents’ Academy will take place on Saturday, September 27, immediately following the OPA’s semi-annual General Meeting which commences at 9: 30 a.m.
Topics will focus on issues such as an understanding of college academics/courses, dealing with the social life of college students, and what it means to be an adult in college. In addition, there will be ample time for a question and answer session.
The cost is free to all OPA members. $62.50 for Non-OPA members (includes OPA four-year membership!). Continental breakfast included!
