Conditional Admission Track for Students Seeking Admission to
Florida Atlantic University

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

All applicants must have a minimum of 3.0 grade point average in the highest educational level completed (either high-school or university-level courses) in order to qualify for admission to the Conditional Admission Track. It is preferred for students to live in university housing. Students with family dependents (spouse, children) who are not eligible to live on campus must contact parinfo@fau.edu for eligibility information and prices.

Required:

  1. Complete the FAU online application form and pay the application fee ($30 non-refundable).
  2. An internal evaluation completed by an FAU foreign credential evaluator. If you would like an internal evaluation please submit a copy of your official academic transcript and degree certificate or diploma. If your academic documents are not in English, we require a certified English translation. If you would like information on how to request an internal evaluation from FAU email us at intladmissions@fau.edu  with your Z number once you have submitted your online application. A NACES-accredited (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) evaluation by a certified evaluation service member may also be submitted. The equivalency evaluation must be course-by-course with a grade point average. 
  3. Complete the supplemental application for the Conditional Admission Track Program ($50 non-refundable application fee).

After you submit your application, you will receive an acknowledgment email directing you to pay the application fee and to take the initial online placement test. The placement test will be used to determine the appropriate level in which you should start your program.

        4.  Complete the documentation required for obtaining your visa documents (I-20 Form)

  1. a. Completed Financial Certification Form (FCF)
    b. Financial guarantee/supporting documentation (bank letter, scholarship letter, etc.).
    c. Photocopy of passport biographical information page
    d. If you are already in the U.S. holding F-1 status, please submit copies of your current I-20, F-1 visa and I-94 form.

Optional: Submit your TOEFL/IELTS test score (if available). This is not required for admission purposes. However, it can be helpful for placing you in the appropriate level within the Conditional Admission Track. Also, students who do not provide an initial TOEFL/IELTS test score will be able to take the TOEFL test upon in the final term of the Conditional Admission Track. (Undergraduate students who pass their Conditional Admission Track coursework with a B average or higher and a minimum 70% grade in each class are eligible for full admission regardless of the scores received on the standardized tests.)
