We offer a wide range of resources to Fraternity and Sorority Life members and chapters. Many of these resources are done through partnership with the Fraternity and Sorority Life office. Below you will find wellness resources and information provided by our office that is relevant to fraternities and sororities here at FAU.
Sober Monitor training is intended to empower chapters and their members to host social gatherings with alcohol responsibly. In this training students will review responsible hosting tips, discuss brief alcohol education, learn how to respond in emergency situations involving alcohol, and take the Ethical Bystander pledge. The training is intended to enhance the community’s risk management abilities. This training is not intended to train students or give them the authority to be licensed bartenders or event security.
This training is not offered to entire chapters. Members must sign up for available sessions using the sign up link below. All training takes place in the Owls Care Health Promotion classroom unless otherwise noted. Students must bring fully charged phones to the training to complete the exam at the end of the training. Students who do not pass the exam must register for another training and complete the exam again at that training. They are not permitted to retake the exam on the same day. This training must be completed every two years.
Party 101 educates Greek chapters on ways to be responsible consumers, bystanders, and hosts. It explores the chapter’s ideas, perceptions, and actions involving alcohol in relation to their core organizational principles and values.
All chapters are required by FS Life to complete Party 101 annually.
