PARENT'S NEWSLETTER

September 2007

A Message from Dr. Charles Brown, Vice President for Student Affairs

On behalf of the Division of Student Affairs, I am pleased to welcome parents of our new students to the Florida Atlantic University family and I join the parents of our returning students in looking forward to another exciting year.  The 2007-2008 academic year is sure to bring many challenges, opportunities and moments to remember. The Student Affairs staff along with our faculty will work closely with your sons and daughters to ensure that they have an outstanding college experience.  The Division of Student Affairs provides programs and services to support their academic experience and enhance their overall growth and development.

Each fall semester brings new life to campus, along with excitement and anticipation.  I urge you to stay aware of what is happening at FAU by visiting our website and reading the many updates you will receive throughout the year.  Whether you are a parent of a new or continuing student, I encourage you to be an active member of the FAU community and attend athletic and social events and get to know us.  Parents, remember this is one of the most memorable times in your student’s life.  Encourage them to take advantage of all that Florida Atlantic University has to offer.

Join us for a great 2007-2008 academic year!

Go Owls!

Sincerely,
Dr. Charles Brown
