For new first year students, orientation is a two-day program with a mandatory overnight stay. Participation in the orientation program is a requirement for all incoming students.
Each session has limited space available, and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Orientation session dates closed once they reach full capacity. Reservations close for within two (2) business days of a session. Please do not make any travel arrangements until you have completed your reservation and have received a confirmation email to your FAU email account.
Please plan two full days for your orientation session. Check-in will begin at 7:00am on the first day, and end around 5:00pm on the second day.

Orientation Fees & Costs
|
The orientation fee for freshman students is $75. The charge for the overnight stay in the residence halls is $35, bringing the total cost for orientation to $110. Students must submit a payment to complete the reservation.
Guests may also attend the Parent & Family Orientation program with the student. The cost for a guest is $55.
**Early Owl Orientation & Gateway Orientation does not include an overnight stay on campus. The total cost for these sessions is $75.

Refund Policy
|
All refund requests must be submitted via email to orientme@fau.edu ten (10) business days prior to the reserved orientation session. Requests sent after this deadline will not be considered. The orientation fee is non-refundable and non-transferable after this deadline. No refunds are processed for students or guests who are no shows to orientation. |
