Reflecting a Diverse Community Academic Enhancement Program The Academic Enhancement Program is a free, year round tutorial program for FAU students. Tutorial sessions are one-hour long, and instructions are provided at a pace conducive to individual learning styles in the following subject areas: Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics, Microbiology, Chemistry 1, Organic chemistry 1, Biochemistry 1, and Biology/Anatomy & Physiology. Please note that the subjects listed above are subject to change. Also, students can ONLY receive tutoring in courses that he/she is currently enrolled. CLAST Preparation The CLAST Review is available free of charge to FAU students on a first come first serve basis. The review includes various Math topics presented on the exam, test-taking techniques and tips to help with test-anxiety. Students taking the CLAST exam for the first time or retaking it at other times or by computer may request tutoring assistance. Book Loan Program The Book Loan Program assists Florida Atlantic University students on a temporary basis who are financially unable to purchase books. Books are issued on a first come first serve basis and are dependent upon availability. Book loan applications are available in the Office of Multicultural Affairs during the first week of the semester. Students must provide their current class schedule, the FAU Financial Aid award letter that they received from FAU, and the title, author and edition of each book.. |
