Basic eClassroom Information

E-Classrooms are controlled by a button panel, touch-screen, or remote control. The instructions illustrate each kind and explain how to use.

System On/Off

Confirm the control system is on: press SYSTEM ON . To turn off, press SYSTEM OFF .

Confirm the control system is on: press SYSTEM POWER from the touch screen panel.

To turn on the e-classroom system, press POWER on the remote.

Components

Desktop

Confirm the desktop is turned on. The CPU is located inside the cabinet of the podium. Afterwards, press P C on the control panel to send the desktop to the projector.

Monitor/Sympodium

If the classroom is equipped with a Sympodium, it will also serve as your monitor. Additionally, the Sympodium allows you to make notations on the monitor using the stylus, project these notations, and save them for upload to the Internet � an electronic whiteboard of sorts. Laptop

Connections for projection, audio and wired Internet are in the laptop compartment in the top of the podium. Once you've connected your laptop, press LAPTOP on the control panel to project the laptop.

Mac Users: To connect to the system, a Mini display port to VGA cable adapter (see figure below) is needed.

DVD/VCR Player

The DVD/VCR combo player is inside the cabinet of the podium. After turning on the player, press DVD/VCR on the control panel to display the DVD/VCR on screen.

The DVD/VCR combo player is inside the cabinet of the podium. After turning on the player, press DVD/VCR on the touch screen to display the DVD/VCR on screen.

The DVD/VCR combo player is inside the cabinet of the podium. After turning on the player, press Source Search on the remote until the DVD/VCR is projected on the screen.

Blu-ray Player (if available)

The Blu-ray player is inside the cabinet of the podium. After turning on the player, press DVD on the control panel to project the Blu-ray on screen.

The Blu-ray player is inside the cabinet of the podium. After turning on the player, press Blu-Ray Player on the touch screen to project the Blu-ray on screen.

 
Document Camera

Confirm the PC button is pressed on the control panel. Turn on the document camera; then double-click the document camera icon on the desktop computer.

Sound Control

Adjust volume with the volume dial on the control panel, not the PC, DVD/VCR player, or Blu-ray player.

Adjust volume by pressing the volume controls ( ˄ Mute ˅ ) on the touch screen, not the PC, DVD/VCR player, or Blu-ray player.

Adjust volume adjustments with the Vol+ and Vol- buttons on the remote, not the PC, DVD/VCR player, or Blu-ray player.

Using Your Own Files or Media

Use a USB flash drive or CD/DVD to use/display your own files. USB ports are on the left side of the monitor. The computers in the podium cabinet have a CD/DVD drive.

Help Using Your Classroom

Press and hold the Contact AV button on the control panel (the red light will blink after notification has been sent), if you have problems or questions about using the classroom's technology. You can also call 7-3707 (561-297-3707).
