Published Monday, June 18, 2012
FAU's University Center for Excellence in Writing bought seven new computers for its Davie Campus location, found on the second floor of the Liberal Arts building, room LA-220F.
Broward Technology Services configured and set up the equipment in the room at the begining of the Summer, so it could be ready for the Fall semester. The machines are Dell Optiplex 790, with 3 GB of memory, 250 GB of hard drive space, and an 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 processor.
The mission of the University Center for Excellence in Writing is to support and help students with their writing. Consultants at the center will help students at any point in the writing process (i.e., brainstorming, drafting, revising) with papers for courses, theses, job applications, articles for publications, and other documents.
