Assistive Listening Available in Davie FacilitiesOIT-BCS has added an Assistive Listening System (ALS) to Davie West, room 103. This classroom, which seats 100, is one of the largest classrooms on the Davie campus.

This ALS can simultaneously provide amplified audio for up to four hearing impaired people. Anyone who needs hearing assistance wears a small receiver that picks up audio signals from a transmitter carried by the professor who is giving the lecture.

Students or faculty interested in learning more about these devices, or how to use them in that room, should contact the Director of the Office for Students with Disabilities (LA-240), Amy Schwartz Parker, at or at extension 6-1218.
