Ewart Borland and Dr. Joyanne StephensEvery year FAU recognizes employees who have been with the university for a significant amount of time. This year two OIT-BCS employees were recognized at the Boca Raton campus ceremony.

This year marks Ewart Borland's 20th anniversary as an FAU employee. During these 20 years, Ewart has been a dedicated OIT employee, first working on the Boca Raton campus and later on the Broward campuses.

He started in OIT’s Operations & Systems unit, where he handled the reports systems for the university. He then moved to Broward Computing Services (BCS), known at that time as Broward Technology Resources ( BTR) as a technology consultant, helping the Davie and Fort Lauderdale campuses create the current technology infrastructure.

Over time, his role evolved to his current position as Manager for BCS Learning Resources group, but his enthusiasm and dedication to this university has remained unchanged.

Apollo RamonThis year also marks the Apollo Ramon's 10th anniversary as a FAU employee. Apollo started working in OIT-BCS as a lab assistant, quickly moved to the Technical Services group, and finally became the Network and System Administrator for the Broward campuses.

Congratulations to both! We hope to have them with us for at least the next 20 years!
