This unused equipment will be put into service by the United Way of Broward County at Plymouth Colony, a 34-unit apartment facility that helps Broward County homeless families get back on their feet. These 17 televisions, originally located in instructional facilities on the Davie and Fort Lauderdale campuses, were discarded as part of the OIT-BCS refresh program, which progressively upgrades technology equipment. As Richard Sutherland, United Way's Resource Development Officer, pointed out in his thank you letter to OIT-BCS, this donation will make the lives of several families "much brighter." |
