As part of Florida Atlantic University's continued involvement with the community, Alberto Fernandez, OIT-BCS Director, represented FAU as a panelist speaker at the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce workshop seminar entitled "Grow Your Business Through Social Networking."

The event, which took place on July 16 at the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce offices in downtown Fort Lauderdale, focused on how social networking tools are changing the face of business in the 21st century and how businesses can create new opportunities by using these new technologies.

Other participants at the sold-out presentation included Edward Lynch (candidate for Florida's 19th congressional district) and Dave Myer (Southeast Director for Reach Local). The panel discussion was organized by Jade Bunke (Chief Executive Officer of Think Institute).
