The Learning Resources group at OIT-BCS has recently completed the upgrade of the Davie campus videoconference meeting/seminar facility.
This room, which was originally located in LA-240G, was moved to a larger meeting space in LA-150.
The seating capacity of the old location was only 5; the capacity of the current location is 12 to 16, and the space is better suited for the types of requests that we were receiving.
The upgrade in the new location also included the replacement of the old Polycom system with a new, state-of-the-art Tandberg system.
The Polycom system was the last of its kind at the Davie campus, and it posed problems when connecting with the new FAU standard Tandberg systems. The new system includes two 52-inch LCD screens.
