OIT-BCS completely renovated the Davie Computer Lab (LA-303), and all the instructional computer labs that surround it (LA-303D, LA-303F, and LA-303G). All the facilities were painted in FAU colors. New blue, faux-leather chairs were purchased to replace the different types of chairs (with different colors) that we had gathered through the years, and new computer desks were placed in all the instructional computer labs. |
| As part of the renovation, the printers that were located in the middle of the Computer Lab, were moved to a new printing room, next to the lab assistance office. Also, new printers were purchased to upgrade the obsolete ones. |
| The layout of the lab was slightly changed to allow for a better flow of students through the facility, and to the instructional computer labs. |
| The instructional computer labs were also painted. Several items that were originally stored in the labs were removed. The new computer desks allow us to have better cable management, which will prevent students from tripping over them. Lastly, 160 old chairs were replaced to provide more comfort to students. |
| We hope that these improvements will provide a better, and more comfortable learning environment to all our students and faculty. If you have any questions or feedback about our new improve facilities, contact our Lab Manager, Peter Shimpeno. |
