About Blackboard

Blackboard is a web-based learning management system that allows instructors to put their syllabi, lecture notes, and assignments online for students to access at any time. It also includes interactive features, such as web conferencing tools, discussion boards, blogs, wikis and journals, which enhance communication between students and faculty. Instructors can use Blackboard as the sole means of delivering their course or as a way to augment a traditional face-to-face class. Blackboard is the primary vehicle that OIT supports for online classes.

	Desktop web conferencing tool available through Blackboard-- with mobile version now available for participants! Bring audio, video, whiteboard, text, application sharing and more into your live online classes Can be used for both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (recorded) sessions
	Personal desktop lecture capture tool that can be used to "flip" your classes Record video/audio of what is on your computer screen (can include webcam) Can be edited and saved in multiple file formats
	Create and manage online exams and easily convert existing paper exams from Word Publish directly to Blackboard To request a copy, please submit a ticket
