CHAPTER TITLE: 6C5-4 Student Affairs
RULE NUMBER AND TITLE: 6C5-4.008 Student Disciplinary Procedures
PURPOSE AND EFFECT:
This rule is being amended to update and clarify existing conduct rule to conform with changes in the Board of Regents rules (as adopted by the Board of Governors Devolution Resolution on January 7, 2003), to codify the code of conduct for students under one rule section, to update and expand the listing of disciplinary violations, to clarify the procedures for disposition of student disciplinary matters, to require future review of this rule and to remove student housing discipline adjudication from this rule section.
SUMMARY:
The amendment addresses the following: Conduct which may subject a student, students or student organizations to disciplinary action; off-campus conduct which is subject to disciplinary action; proceedings external to the University; students= rights; structure of University Judicial Council; procedures for student disciplinary hearings; disciplinary sanctions; appeals; emergency or interim measures; definitions; and future review of this rule.
