Midsummer Makers Marketplace at FAU on June 25

The Arthur and Mata Jaffe Center for Book Arts’ Midsummer Makers Marketplace will be in full swing Saturday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the T-6 Lab, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.

Elayna Toby Art will be at the Midsummer Makers Marketplace on June 25 at Florida Atlantic University’s T-6 building.

The Arthur and Mata Jaffe Center for Book Arts’ Midsummer Makers Marketplace will be in full swing Saturday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the T-6 Lab, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.

Convivio Bookworks will be at the marketplace with letterpress prints, culinary herbs and herbal teas.  CUT/SEW Patternmaking also will be on hand with its start-to-finish handmade and hand printed sewing patterns, while Elayna Toby Art will have kinetic jewelry and sculpture. Kianga Art/African Treasures will bring fiber art and mixed media collage, along with Lorna Ruth Galloway with her photos and screen prints, Paper Bird with cut paper designs, Paper Owl Artists with handmade cards and journals, Sarah Henderson with textiles and prints, and Sweet Eleni with baked goods. 

There will be a letterpress print project on one of the Jaffe Center’s historic printing presses and a Creation Station with artist Elayna Toby Singer for visitors.

The marketplaces are designed to foster a creative spirit by encouraging entrepreneurship, collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
