Daszkal Bolton Fund to Reward Teaching and Research at FAU

South Florida accounting and advisory firm Daszkal Bolton will reward faculty teaching and research excellence at Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business by establishing a fund with a gift of $50,000.

The gift represents the first named professorship in FAU’s School of Accounting, which is among the largest accounting programs in the United States with over 1,200 traditional and non-traditional students in its undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

The Daszkal Bolton Fund will provide support one faculty member each year. The dean of the College of Business will choose a professor who has distinguished themselves in the fields of accounting and finance. The award recipient will use the $5,000 to support their work in these areas.

The Daszkal Bolton Fund’s first faculty reward was announced at an event Wednesday night, October 11, at FAU’s College of Business. The recipient is Robert Pinsker, Ph.D., associate professor in the School of Accounting. A certified public accountant, Pinsker’s research interests include eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), investor belief revision, qualitative materiality and auditor attitudes.

Gropper, Ph.D., dean of FAU’s College of Business. “This allows us to recognize and reward the excellent work being done by our professors and build upon the continued success and momentum of our accounting program.”

The firm also advises on wealth management, life and disability insurance and fee based financial planning through affiliate Benchmark Financial Group. With over 140 professionals Daszkal Bolton covers the South Florida markets, with offices in Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and Jupiter.
