Florida Atlantic University will host Jillian Bruschera, creator of The Mobile Mill traveling hand papermaking studio, on Saturday, Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. for a gallery talk at the Wimberly Library’s Arthur and Mata Jaffe Center for Book Arts, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.

During the 45-minute gallery talk, Bruschera, who began her tour in the San Francisco Bay area, will challenge traditional notions of art practice, craft culture and education by broadening preconceived notions of where art can be made and who can make it. Bruschera, a teaching artist, considers making handmade recycled paper a way to engage in a variety of communities and dialogues.

The gallery talk is free and open to the public. Donations to the nonprofit Jaffe Center, which is devoted to the study of hand papermaking, letterpress printing and bookbinding, are encouraged. For more information, visit jaffecollection.org.
